For the ultimate Sydney experience, take on the BridgeClimb for a panoramic view of the skyline, or catch a ferry across the sparkling waters to see the Opera House in all its glory. If you’re looking to relax before match day, join the locals at Bondi or Manly for a bit of surf and sun.
The city’s hospitality is top-tier; you’ll find incredible waterfront dining and a thriving “small bar” scene in historic districts like The Rocks. Whether you’re scouting for a pre-game craft beer, a flat white from a passionate local roaster, or a cocktail crafted with local botanicals, Sydney delivers on every front. It’s a spectacular setting for any touring supporter.

REcommendations
barbetta
A vibrant, multi-concept Italian café, trattoria and gourmet workshop
Run by the renowned Cipri brother, Barbetta serves southern Italian comfort food, including handmade fresh pasta and signature lasagna. Stop for all-day dining, shop the provedore or book a pasta making class.
“Moving to Sydney for number four of my top five joints and it’s called Barbetta. Great food, lovely drink. It is a wicked spot and a great place to spend the day.
I remember it was one of those places in Australia where we had this big day with a big group of us and we didn’t hold back on the food and drink. We loved it all, stayed there a long time and we when got the bill and this might not be the point of it but we couldn’t believe how small the bill was. Incredible value.”
Coogee pavillion
Beachfront lifestyle and dining destination located overlooking Coogee beach
Coogee Pavilion is a massive, multi-level beachfront dining hub at Sydney’s Coogee Beach. Featuring a lively ground floor with food-fired pizza, premium middle-floor restaurants and a buzzing adults-only rooftop bar offering panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.
“Number five of five places you must go when in Australia is Coogee Pavilion. It’s just a wicked spot and we actually went there the day after the final Lion’s Test in 2025. A big group of us went and you have to book in there because it’s popular. We had an amazing feed, great drinks and a really cool setup.
There’s loads of space and we loved it. It was one of the best places we had been in the three weeks or over there, it was fantastic.”
Flat’s best bit: “When we walked in we saw Mike and Zara Tindall were there with a loads of their mates. That was lovely and just before we left just before them, we put our bill on their tab. They still don’t know – but they might now!”
